At Les Collines, we value local producers, remarkable sites and any other company that makes a commitment. In short, we're convinced that green tourism in France is real.

Welcome to an eco-friendly destination where the environment and comfort go hand in hand; our family holiday cottages in Corrèze offer a unique holiday experience in France! Certified bythe European Ecolabel, the holiday village enables its guests to enjoy nature-friendly holidays all year round!
→ Our initiatives
1. Eco-friendly and sustainable energy management
- Renewable energy: our eco-friendly site is powered entirely by a green electricity supplier: Primeo.
- Energy efficiency and temperature regulation: as the 25 holiday cottages are semi-underground, the ambient temperature regulates itself naturally throughout the seasons. Ceiling fans are also available to guests on very hot days.
The 25 holiday cottages and the communal area are also fitted with energy-efficient lighting. Furthermore, in the snack bar, the crockery used is washable. During the summer season or when hosting a group, we minimise the use of plastic and cardboard. - The black liner in the swimming pool allows us to heat the water naturally. The aim is to stop using the heat pump installed when the holiday village was built altogether.
2. Waste Reduction and Management
- Waste sorting: in our offices, as well as in the holiday cottages, guests are encouraged to sort their waste. Special bins are provided at the entrance to the residence. These enable our guests to sort their household waste and cardboard independently.
- Composting: we have set up a system to reduce our volume of organic waste. Two compost bins are available for our guests’ use, enabling them to compost their organic waste independently.
- Training: every year, our team attends a workshop on waste sorting and management led by a SIRTOM facilitator .
3. Furnishings and Facilities
- The ‘see without being seen’ concept: as well as being climate-controlled, our gîtes are oriented towards the Corrèze valleys rather than towards neighbouring gîtes. Each guest feels as though they have the site and this view all to themselves…
- Second-hand furniture: much of the furniture in the ‘Épicerie Gaillarde’ and the snack bar has been sourced from second-hand shops and refurbished by our team.

Our mission is to raise awareness of environmental issues amongst families renting our holiday cottages in Corrèze. Workshops on sustainable development, forest walks and the eco-wall are all designed to share our ecological knowledge and practices.

We work with local producers and artisans to promote the region’s best environmental practices.
Environmentally-friendly gîtes
As well as being original, each of our gîtes respects the nature that surrounds it. As the seasons change, they adapt to the light and temperature outside thanks to their thermoregulation system. In Corrèze and Les Collines in particular, eco-friendly holidays are easy! Choosing environmentally-friendly accommodation, hiking in the forest and eating a mique-petit-salé will make you a responsible holidaymaker!
Our team takes action all year round in a number of areas. Respect for biodiversity, reduced use of chemical products, nature activities, soft mobility, social integration... every day is an opportunity for us to respect the world around us.
